According to this website, a man with AIDS underwent a bone marrow transplant and now has no sign of AIDS. I'm amazed that this isn't front page news on all of the news sources.
It also states that similar things have happened as far back as 1982.

Did they also mention the 30% fatality rate for the bone marrow transplant? That's probably why it hasn't caught on in the mainstream - you know, people like to live and stuff.
Well AIDS has a 100% death rate so if I were in that situation I might opt for it.
Since life as a 100% death rate we're all screwed.
